Dornith Doherty, a professor of photography at the University of North Texas, was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship for her work Archiving Eden. Since 2008, the Houston-born Doherty has traveled to the world’s seed banks documenting the vaults and using x-ray technology to photograph seeds.
