I started this website in March because a couple of art buyer friends in New York had mentioned they didn’t know of any good photographers in Texas. Seriously? How is that possible? So I set out to blog about the great people who are based here. I reached out to some friends and put together an awesome group of contributors.

We’re thrilled to be attracting new readers every week with our interviews, gallery news, and tear sheets. In case you’ve just joined us, here’s a recap of what we’ve done so far.

Interviews

We have interviewed 28 photographers, stylists, art buyers and photo editors so far. These interviews go live every Tuesday and are full of career advice, inspiration and of course beautiful imagery. You can explore these interviews by location, job type and specialty in our “Explore Talent” section.

Photo Events

Our blog is constantly updated with information about openings and exhibition around the state.

Tear Sheets

One of my favorite things about the site is getting to feature the published work Texas-based photographers are doing. We regularly post editorial and commercial tear sheets in our blog.

Recently featured photographers include Sarah Lim, Lance Rosenfield, Matthew Mahon, Nicole Mlakar-Livingston, Brent Humphreys, Alison V. Smith, Tyler Sharp and Adam Vorhees.

We’re always looking for feedback and suggestions of people you would like to see profiled here. Please drop us a line.
