“I worked with Katie when she was at Travel+Leisure and I was still in NYC.  In fact, she introduced me to my (now) husband.  She and I go way back.  I was so happy to shoot a food story in Houston as I think they have such an amazing array of ethnic food.  I think unless you know Houston it’s not something you would expect.  The chef at Hugo’s was a total sweetheart and gave me a chunk of their house made chocolate to take.  The best part was the array of places they chose.  There was the upscale Underbelly and Oxheart (that is booked for reservations for months out) to a Pho place that is literally a trailer and served some of the best Pho I’ve ever eaten.  Fun times.” – Buff Stickland
