Artist Statement: I have been photographing farms and gardens as of late and this little beauty really stood out for me. It was captured at Springdale Farm in Austin, TX and it’s a Purple Hyacinth Bean, which apparently is edible. This image conjures up thoughts of a Secret Garden for me and I’m slowly starting to build a body of work based off that theme. This is the first in a series to come.
