I Love Texas Photo was founded in March 2012. Our goal is to showcase the best work being created by photographers, reps, editors, art directors, stylists and producers based in Texas.

Jasmine DeFoore, Founder
Jasmine is a photo editor for corporate clients and photographers. From 2011-2013, she served on the Board of Trustees of the Austin Center for Photography. She lives in Austin with her husband — who she met at a photo industry party in NYC — and two boys.

Polly Chandler grew up in Southern Illinois and graduated with an MFA in photography from Southern Illinois University.  She has exhibited her work nationally and her photographs have been published in magazines such as PDN, Rangefinder and B&W Magazine.  Polly now lives in Austin, Texas and continues to make photographs as well as strives to challenge herself in her work.

Amy V. Cooper moved to Texas in 2008 to be closer to her family after 10 years of working as a photo editor and freelance photographer in New York City. Amy is currently an art buyer and digital asset manager for a technology-fueled creative agency but still loves shooting fashion, girlfriends, dogs, and interiors. Amy lives in Austin with her fiancé, Chris, an award winning BBQ and Hot Sauc-ier.

Kimberly Davis is an editorial and commercial photographer shooting “all things pretty” – food, interiors, and lifestyle.  She serves the photo community as VP of ASMP Austin/San Antonio and also helps produce Texas Photo Roundup. Proud to be Texan, she lives in Austin with her husband and dog, Lucy.

Lindsay Hutchens is an award winning photographer and burgeoning art educator living in Austin, Texas, whose perspective and style span a multitude of subject matter and medium. Brooks Institute of Photography graduate, former assistant to Lauren Greenfield, and until recently the Lomographic Ambassador to ATX, she cut her teeth photographing musicians on stage, on the road, in the studio, and at home.

Eric Kayne, a Houston-based editorial and commercial photographer, is a Texas native but not your average Texan. He loves photography and sometimes, once in a while, photography loves him back. He lives with his wife, the lovely and talented Carrie Feibel, a health and science reporter for KUHF public radio.

Sarah Lim is an Austin-based people photographer who loves a good story. She enjoys photographing regular people doing irregular things. She has a weird sense of humor and can usually be found — if not behind a camera — behind a bowl of ice cream or a taco somewhere around town.

Wynn Myers, Editor
Wynn’s love of photography began when a friend introduced her to the high school darkroom, and she has been hooked ever since.  In 2006, Wynn graduated from the Maine Media College’s Professional Certificate Program, and moved back to her hometown, Austin, where she now resides with her fiancé, Scott, and their four pups.

Julia Robinson is a freelance photojournalist and multimedia producer in her hometown of Austin, Texas. Her heart is in documentary storytelling, daily newspapering, and finding the heart of the moment. When not behind the camera she runs (never fast), drinks coffee (always iced), and tries to keep up with her mutt Zoë.

Roxana Serna is food photographer born and raised in South Texas. She moved to Austin and discovered an amazing place to expand her artistic education. She lives for creating new work and is inspired by exploring different artworks, local and beyond. She received her BFA in Photography and has a background in Culinary Arts. When she’s not behind the camera, she enjoys the awesome music scene that Austin has to offer.

Mariah Tyler is a full-time student at the University of North Texas pursuing degrees in Anthropology and Studio Art Photography. Mariah combines both studies to create visual ethnographic stories. While not in school, she enjoys sifting through piles of photography books and writing about food. Mariah covers the Dallas photo scene for ILTP and will be survived by her two cats.

M. Scott Brauer is a freelance photographer and web designer living in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He’s from Montana, but has never lived in the same place for more than 4 years. He has worked and lived on 3 continents, most recently in China. He’s the co-founder of the photojournalism blog dvafoto.
